S. Romão Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction Project (Ciladas)

Introduction

This technical project refers to the construction of the S. Romão (Ciladas) Wastewater Treatment Plant, located in the municipality of Vila Viçosa. The intervention consisted of developing a complete solution for the reception, transport, and treatment of domestic wastewater, ensuring environmental protection and compliance with legal requirements.

Context and Need

The implementation of the S. Romão Wastewater Treatment Plant arose from the need to ensure adequate treatment of exclusively domestic wastewater from the locality. The design took into account the physical and geological conditions of the site, identified through topographic surveys and satellite photography. The project was structured to serve an intervention area of ​​269 units, ensuring that the drainage and treatment system met the discharge limits stipulated in the legislation (Decree-Law No. 236/98), guaranteeing the self-cleaning of the collectors and the durability of the infrastructure.
