Introduction
This article details the execution project for the paving of Rua das Canas, located in Fazendas das Figueiras. This road constitutes an important connecting axis within the municipal road network, linking two distinct streets. The study was developed from a rigorous topographic survey, carried out using classic methods and connected to the national geodetic network, guaranteeing the technical precision necessary for the infrastructure intervention.
Context and Need
The intervention on Rua das Canas arises from the need to improve the existing road, providing it with features that ensure safe and fluid traffic flow. The preliminary diagnosis included a detailed assessment of the state of conservation of the pavements, the cleanliness and regularity of the longitudinal drainage systems (surface and depth), as well as the functionality of the installed transverse drainage systems.
The central objective focuses on improving the pavement and redesigning existing intersections and connections. The requalification aims to ensure that both public and private access roads offer adequate visibility and vehicular traffic conditions, correcting structural deficiencies accumulated over time.
Summary of the Project Completed
The technical solution designed by Envisquantis prioritizes pavement and accessibility, while respecting the regulatory criteria for a basic design speed of 40 km/h.
- Pavement Structure: For the main road, a flexible pavement structure was defined, consisting of a bituminous concrete wearing course (4 cm) and a bituminous macadam leveling course (6 cm), laid on base and sub-base layers of crushed aggregate with extensive granulometry (12 cm each). The verges will be reinforced with selected soils.
- Urban Planning and Sidewalks: In areas where there are building walls, the project includes the construction of concrete paver sidewalks, installed on a sand cushion with a cement mixture.
- Universal Accessibility: The project ensures accessibility through the systematic lowering of sidewalks at all residential entrances, encompassing both vehicular and pedestrian access.
- Safety Equipment: The safety plan includes the implementation of road markings (horizontal signage) and the installation of vertical signage (code and informational), designed to allow for quick and safe interpretation by users.
- Technical Organization: The Execution Project consists of detailed drawings, including layout plans, longitudinal profiles, typical cross-sectional profiles, and detailed cross-sectional profiles.
